How You
Can Help

Volunteering

Since People's Homesteading Group first renovated an abandoned house in 1983, volunteers have been an indispensable part of our success.

Our Annual Workathon
People's Homesteading Group’s biggest fundraiser, the annual Workathon, is a time when we move the construction on our houses along and raise money. For information on future workathons, contact Mary Harvin at Mary@phghouse.org or
(410) 889-0071, ext. 16
.

Work Days
During construction periods, volunteers can attend weekly workdays; high school and college groups often help throughout the school year. Volunteers do not need to have construction skills. Activities might include demolition, debris removal, and framing walls. You must be at least 16 years old to work on a construction site.

Volunteers are welcome to work on any Saturday. Contact Beth Dellow at (410) 889-0071, ext. 11, or Sam@phghouse.orgt

Many high school students choose to work with us to meet their community hour work requirement for graduation. Don’t wait until the last minute – call us now!
