How You
Can Help

Volunteering

Since People's Homesteading Group first renovated an abandoned house in 1983, volunteers have been an indispensable part of our success.

Weekly Volunteer Opportunities
People's Homesteading Group’s biggest asset are its volunteers. Please contribute to the revitalization of East Baltimore's Barclay neighborhood, contact Mary Harvin at Mary@phghouse.org or
(410) 889-0071, ext. 16 for more information.

Work Days
During construction periods, groups of volunteers can attend weekly workdays; high school and college groups often help throughout the school year. Volunteers do not need to have construction skills. Activities might include demolition, debris removal, and framing walls. You must be at least 16 years old to work on a construction site.

Many high school students choose to work with us to meet their community hour work requirement for graduation. Don’t wait until the last minute – call us now!
